Montgomery County Council Testimony – February 11th, 2014

Yesterday evening the Montgomery County Council held a hearing for several recently introduced bills that will effect the county’s energy efficiency for many years to come. Bills affecting energy efficient procurement, benchmarking, and renewable energy were discussed. Our Operations Manager, Whitney Cooper, was there to testify on behalf of Bill 7-14 Contracts and Procurement – Certified Business Program. The bill would give preference to Montgomery County Certified Green Businesses for county bids. As a Montgomery County Certified Green Business, we know that the Certified Green Business program is a great to standard for measuring the sustainability of our businesses.
