Elysian Energy moved this year. Taking advantage of great PEPCO incentives for small businesses, we improved our headquarters in order to save money and reduce our environmental impact. Improvements include an LED lighting retrofit, increased insulation & air sealing, duct sealing, commode retrofits, and upgrading to ENERGY STAR refrigerator, using low VOC paint, and having office furniture made of rapidly-renewable bamboo.

Policy Restaurant & Dupont Green Week

Partnering with Dupont Green Week, Elysian Energy analyzed the energy usage of Policy Restaurant as part of a larger study to determine the baseline energy usage of businesses in the Dupont Circle neighborhood. Elysian Energy made energy and water recommendations that could save Policy thousands of dollars a year.

S&A Beads LED Lights

We installed over 50 LED lights throughout the store. With strong incentives through the PEPCO Small Business Program we were able to complete the entire project at no cost to S&A Beads. The installation value is estimated at over $2,800. Yet from day one, S&A Beads began seeing a positive return on investment. We project that the store will achieve annual savings of $1,306. S&A Beads will save 8,704 kWh each year, amounting to a CO2 emission reduction of 6.1 metric tons.
