Job Description
Elysian Energy is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Comfort Advisor specializing in HVAC and Building Performance to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with homeowners to assess their comfort needs, perform comprehensive home evaluations, and provide tailored recommendations for HVAC and related energy efficiency improvements like draft stopping, insulation. You will offer solutions to their immediate need while making recommendations by educating them on options that enhance comfort, reduce energy consumption, and improve indoor air quality. This is a technical sales position that requires performing several diagnostics on every site visit to ensure our proposals speak to the purchasers needs with an eye on synergistic improvements that add value and minimize risk.
This position offers the opportunity to build strong customer relationships, collaborate with technical teams, and play a key role in growing our residential services. The Comfort Advisor will be based out of our Laurel office, serving Montgomery County, Howard County, and upper Prince Georges County areas.
Responsibilities
Conduct in-home assessments focusing on Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ)
Special attention and diagnostics focused on HVAC system(s), ductwork, ventilation and filtration/purification
Perform inspections of attic, basements, crawlspaces, etc... for an accurate understanding of the building envelope.
Perform blower door diagnostic to get precise air infiltration data
Requirements
Experience: HVAC Apprentice License
Technical Knowledge: Strong foundational knowledge of construction principles and related estimating across HVAC, electrical, and building envelope systems (insulation and air sealing), and proven familiarity with product lines from major partners like CARRIER, FERGUSON, and LENNOX.
Sales Acumen: Proven experience in sales or customer service, with an exceptional ability to build client rapport and strong negotiation skills.
Tools: Familiarity with CRM platforms and HVAC load calculation software.
Attributes: Highly deadline and detail-oriented with a strong focus on project accuracy.

The ideal candidate is energetic, personable and self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for buildings and the sustainability movement. Offering base + commission. Anticipated income of $90,000 - $150,000 after 3-6 month onboarding and training for motivated candidates.
