Home Energy Efficiency Upgrades
In our experience assessing and fixing homes since 2007, we’ve found that most homes waste 20-40% of their energy through drafty rooms, inefficient lighting, and wasteful water usage. A home energy audit pinpoints specific problem-areas in your home and identifies efficiency improvements to increase your comfort and save you money on your home’s energy and water.

Three easy steps to a more efficient home.
Step 1
Diagnose your home energy usage
A Home Energy Audit takes only 3-4 hours to complete, includes diagnostic testing, computer modeling, and is heavily subsidized by your utility. Home Energy Audits cost $0-$400 for most homes, and save most homeowners over $200 on their annual energy bill.
Step 2
Make energy efficiency upgrades
Make energy-saving improvements to your home including adding insulation, duct sealing, and air sealing and replacing fossil fuel appliances with electric. Our team completes most jobs in only one day at minimal cost to you.
Step 3
Collect rebates and savings
Elysian Energy has a long history of ensuring the upgrades we recommend and install qualify for eligible incentives. Many incentives are “stackable.” In Maryland, for example:
A Comprehensive Home Energy Audit unlocks rebates from the utilities in Maryland for many of the upgrades you may need. Rebates can cover up to $15,000 of project costs.
Programs in DC offer incentives up to $5,000 of work in DC. Typical homes earn back the cost of improvements in just a few years through lower energy bills. We work with Pepco, BGE, Potomac Edison, and other utilities to ensure eligibility.
