Continuing education is a great way to maintain your BPI Certification, keep up with rapidly changing industry norms, and bypass parts of the BPI Recertification process. We offer Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to BPI Professionals, improving your ability to properly diagnose a home and recommend improvements.
All BPI Certified Professionals need to recertify every 3 years. The amount of time and money you need to put into recertification depends on the applicable experience and number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs) you have earned during the 3 year period prior to recertification. Dependent upon the experience or CEUs you have gained, you may need to take one or more recertification exams.
6 months before your certification expires: You can apply for recertification as early as 6 months before your certification expires.
6 weeks before your certification expires: BPI says field exams take up to 6 weeks to process. So, if you have to take a field exam, schedule it more than 6 weeks before your certification expires to have continuous certification.
Less than 6 weeks before your certification expires: If you have to take a field exam to rectify, BPI may not be able to process your field exam before your certification expires. However, as long as you take and pass the field exam before the expiration date, your certificate will be retroactively continuous.
1 month before your certification expires: Any Continuing Education Units you have need to be submitted to BPI for approval at least 1 month before your certification expires.
Elysian Energy provides recertification proctoring for both the written and field exams at our BPI Training Facility.
